About me
Your treatment plan:
My background
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California (PSY34943) who specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression from a cognitive-behavioral perspective.
Our work begins with an assessment of your goals and needs. Towards that end, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so I can get an idea of what you are looking for and we can determine if we are a good fit. If we decide to continue working together, I would then complete a more thorough assessment to better understand your circumstances and develop an initial treatment plan. We would then pull from evidence-based approaches to help you increase your use of effective coping skills and decrease ineffective behaviors. We will together establish goals and continuously monitor progress.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and worked in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University in Providence, RI prior to starting graduate school. I completed my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2022, and finished my internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the UC San Diego School of Medicine/San Diego Veteran’s Affairs Healthcare System.
I have received many awards for my research from leading scientific institutions such as the National Institute of Mental Health and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I draw on scientific research to inform my clinical work. I take great care to create a thorough, personalized case conceptualization and treatment plan to help you meet your goals. I take a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental stance and am excited to work with you.
